Car wreckage...

Today I went out to find my Christmas present (some new cute rain boots).  So I thought I would go to the outlet to find them.  At the outlet, I came around a corner (Veer in the road) and this lady T-boned me.  She was coming out of the parking lot, and disregarded the white "Stop" line.  I think she must have excelled for how hard she hit me.  She hit my door (drivers side) and I bounced back and then she hit my back door too. The police came and labeled it all her fault (which I already knew, but was glad HE said it).  I was looking foward to driving my new car up to Williamsburg so Mom and Dad could see it... oh well.  I'm alright, but oh so sore tonight.

So excited...

So this year for Christmas we are going to go to Colonial Williamsburg with my Mom  and Dad!  I have been planning this trip since 2007, and it's finally here!  I can't wait to see all the decorations, and historical sites!  ohhh... i am so excited!

My birthday!

So Saturday was my 26th birthday!  Crazy...    We had a fun day.  I took the day off (because i believe everyone should have their birthday off to do fun things)  We went to the farmers market down town Charleston.  That is my favorite thing to do in Chas.!!  We ate yummy gyro's and hummus froma greek place at the market, and bought some yummy soap.  For desert we had a brownie.  Later on that night we met up with Chris and Julia and went to the Cinebar to see a movie and eat dinner!  What a fun day!  I had so many birthday wishes sent my way, that always makes you feel loved.  :)

Attila the Beast...

Well, ok, I SUCK at this.  When I'm on the computer I'm usually on facebook, and then I'm on to other things.  Forgive me.  My other problem is we just don't have interesting things to share! You know about Frank's Metallica Cover band... he had a show last Sat. on the 4th of July.  It was good.  They played really well!  Frank also had Monday off so we went to Rosbank Farm which is an open air market/ art gallery/ museum/ petting zoo.  It was a lot of fun!  Frank found it because his company has an ice machine he's had to service a couple of times now.  He says there is a girl out there who keeps checking him out, so naturally I had to see my competition. lol :)
Anyway, it was a lot of fun.  On the way home we decided to stop at the Angel Oak tree.  It's a 1500 year old oak tree on John's island.  The thing is HUGE and so beautiful!  There were about 5 or 6 people standing under the tree who were all talking no louder than a whisper.  It was like sacred ground or something.  A-MAZING!  It's supposed to be the oldest living thing this way of the mississippi.

Ah, but onto my Attila story...

About a month ago... I know, I should  have written sooner... Attila got his foot caught in a chair leg.  He is only about 7 months, and also about 50lbs.  He didn't understand what was happening, so he thrashed around trying to get out.  He paused for a slight second giving Frank the chance to help him free his leg.  We knew right away he had broken something, but couldn't figure out where the blood was coming from.  It being about 12:30 at night, we took him to the emergency vet clinic.  He had broken a toe in a fairly unclean break.  The way it broke was in a compound fracture coming out of the top of his foot and the bottom.  He had to have stitches, a cast and 6-8 weeks of non-activity.  Do you know how hard it is to keep a 7/8 month old puppy "not active"????  Yeah, he's been SO antsy!  He's doing fine now.  He got his cast off, but still has to rest.

Metallica!!!

Frank is in a Metallica "tribute" band!!  He played a very good show last night.  They played 3, 1 Hour sets so they played from about 10 until about 2 with breaks in between.  They sounded GREAT!  It's a fun thing for him to do, and he makes a couple of bucks... how can you go wrong??

Afterwards, we both were starving, so where do you turn when your hungry and it's 3:00 in the morning... well Waffle House of course.  Food never tastes s good.  At Waffle House I  noticed a sign hanging on the wall that read : "You had a choice, and you chose us.  Thank you."  I thought about it for a minute, and said to Frank "but I didn't have a choice!  They were the only ones open!"  I does always amaze me how packed that place is that time of day though!  There were only 2 seats open in the whole place.  It takes a special person to work there, I wouldn't do it thats for dang sure! :)

Tonight we have a cookout on the agenda with our renters Justin and Val and Val's mom and grandma.  mmm... cookout... beach... hot-tub... I'll be there! ( however, the hot-tube doesn't sound so great at the moment it being like 80 outside!)

ok... so I suck at this!

I have to start out by saying I talk all day long, so when I get home, I don't like to keep talking... I think that is why I suck at this whole blog thing.

Not a whole lot has been going on either.  Two big things come to mind...
Frank is in a Metallica cover band.  :)  He plays the Guitar, and rocks!  He has a show tomorrow night, and it should be good.  The last show he played, he ended up cracking his head open, and we spent the next 4 or so hours at the hospital getting staples in his head.  He was jumping up into his van to put some stuff in, and didn't clear the latch that keeps the doors closed.  I'll spare you all from those photos.

The other is that we had the pleasure of attending my niece Paisley's baptism last week.  It was a very sweet experience and I'm glad I got to go.  Well, that's all for now... I'll try and be better.

dogs, dogs, dogs, and more dogs...

About a month ago Frank and I decided to get a new puppy.  This one would be trained by yours truly.  We decided that we would like to get a Dutch Shepherd.  My first training experience.  Shortly after we got her (and named her Rosie) we went down to a training seminar in Forida.  That was a seminar held by Tompo and Waverly's breeder.  While doing work with Tompo it was brought to our attention that we would never be able to compete him in a trial.  You see... In Schutzhund there is a decoy who has a "sleeve" on his arm.  The dog, when told, attacks said sleeve and doesn't let go until commanded to.  This is so the man can't pull away.  Ideally the bite would be "solid" or "full" (A good grip).  Tompo, however, likes to chew on the sleeve letting the man get away.  So... The breeder said he felt bad, and let us pick out a new puppy.  Tompo was always intended as a duel dog, both for working and a family pet.  He will remain as the family pet now, and Atilla, as we named him, will reside the position as a working dog.  So now our house is a full one with 5 dogs!  Waverly is doing EXCELLENT in her training, and Rosie, and Atilla are too.  It's too early to tell if they will be successful in Schutzhund, but we have reason to believe they will do just fine.

Benny is living it up at home as the only dog in the house to roam free.  He barks at their crates as to shut them up when they are making too much noise.  He's, in a way, helping us raise these doggies.  He stays out of trouble himself these days... mostly because he can't see the trouble to get into though.
