Attila the Beast...

Well, ok, I SUCK at this.  When I'm on the computer I'm usually on facebook, and then I'm on to other things.  Forgive me.  My other problem is we just don't have interesting things to share! You know about Frank's Metallica Cover band... he had a show last Sat. on the 4th of July.  It was good.  They played really well!  Frank also had Monday off so we went to Rosbank Farm which is an open air market/ art gallery/ museum/ petting zoo.  It was a lot of fun!  Frank found it because his company has an ice machine he's had to service a couple of times now.  He says there is a girl out there who keeps checking him out, so naturally I had to see my competition. lol :)
Anyway, it was a lot of fun.  On the way home we decided to stop at the Angel Oak tree.  It's a 1500 year old oak tree on John's island.  The thing is HUGE and so beautiful!  There were about 5 or 6 people standing under the tree who were all talking no louder than a whisper.  It was like sacred ground or something.  A-MAZING!  It's supposed to be the oldest living thing this way of the mississippi.

Ah, but onto my Attila story...

About a month ago... I know, I should  have written sooner... Attila got his foot caught in a chair leg.  He is only about 7 months, and also about 50lbs.  He didn't understand what was happening, so he thrashed around trying to get out.  He paused for a slight second giving Frank the chance to help him free his leg.  We knew right away he had broken something, but couldn't figure out where the blood was coming from.  It being about 12:30 at night, we took him to the emergency vet clinic.  He had broken a toe in a fairly unclean break.  The way it broke was in a compound fracture coming out of the top of his foot and the bottom.  He had to have stitches, a cast and 6-8 weeks of non-activity.  Do you know how hard it is to keep a 7/8 month old puppy "not active"????  Yeah, he's been SO antsy!  He's doing fine now.  He got his cast off, but still has to rest.
